Ashley started at GeersSullivan in 2006 as a graduate accountant fresh out of university and has since become one of our Directors. She loves seeing small start-up ideas grow into something fulfilling and self-sustainable for our clients.

What do you like about working at GeersSullivan?

GeersSullivan gives all of us a lot of exposure to different roles. Even as a graduate you learn to complete tasks a couple of levels above you, under supervision.

What kind of clients do you prefer working with?

I like working with a range of clients across various industries – from small start-ups to larger businesses, not-for-profits and ASX-listed companies. I’m especially drawn to clients who are keen for us to be involved in growing their business.

What are some of your highlights from your work here?

Seeing both our client base and firm develop and change, and evolving with them. Nothing beats working alongside like-minded people and seeing everyone work hard and grow. We’re a very close-knit team.

What do you do outside of the office?

I do volunteer work with the Animal Protection Society, but that’s mainly just so I can go and play with the dogs! I’m on the Board of a not-for-profit organisation called Southcare that provides community services to the South Perth area. I like using what I’ve learnt over the years here. It takes up a fair bit of time but it’s very rewarding.

I also like trying new things, like horse riding, paddle-boarding, motorbike riding. You name it, I’ve probably tried it!

Favourite book?

I’m an avid reader. Fiction, non-fiction, autobiographies… I’ll read absolutely anything, but I love going on people’s recommendations.

What’s on your bucket list?

The dream is to have a nice big property down south with a stunning view and my very own vineyard. But I’d have the best of both worlds, with an apartment in the city too.
